Art Cafe and Gallery
The Bailey street is a historic corridor connecting the Durham cathedral and the market square. The design aims to convert the San Marco restaurant into an Art Cafe by re-inventing the ancient stone cellar into a gallery of antiques and relics. During certain occasions it can also be used as gallery space for art students from Durham University. The unused corridor connecting the Bailey street and the Durham cathedral is proposed to add permeability and also act as a direct link to the gallery.
